Banjoist – Gabriel Szilardi-Tierney picked up a banjo at age 14 and never put it down. Banjo lessons, bluegrass festivals, and the bay area music scene, in general, opened the door to a love of American roots music. When he isn’t gigging with wonderful Kat Van Morgan, he plays solo shows as “Jefferson Strange” and gives banjo lessons at a music store in Concord (Rockin’ Robbie’s East Bay Music) as well as private lessons in Berkeley, Oakland, and SF. Gabe’s banjo sings happy, bright, fast and furious.
